On view at Mountain Rain Zendo
Ins and outs Folded and cut shoji paper hangs on two small painted wooden dowels and sways with the air casting shadows on the wall. Folds in the paper echo the form of practice and the folds are seen when looking closely. The subtle movement of paper is reflective of the ins and outs of the breath and what is happening in the space: air currents from the vents, waves from people walking near by. Paper interacting with light and air, and the shadows cast on the wall asks, Where does form begin and end? |
