During a meditation/creative retreat with Mountain Rain Zen Centre this past spring I spent some time collecting colours from the mountain and forest setting and when I got back to the city all I wanted to do was paint colour...muted and vivid colour. I would build up layers, tilt and hang the paper to let the watery paint gather and then intensify at the bottom edge.
