November skies inflect downward, evenings seep in; there are bouts of brief light.  Leaves are falling and fallen already in the process of becoming something other than leaf.  At the river  the current moves  around a bend and out of sight. You can imagine being carried along with it and  you know where it appears to end the river turns. So you imagine the water reaching out into infinity.
