Four Corners, 2015
Water, water-soluble jelly
Dimensions variable

Four Corners is a direct experience of water and a meditation on time.
Each day I would go in and refill the water and each day the water would evaporate. The piece changes and is reflective of its surroundings and the shifting light. In my practice I pare down my materials to the most essential to bring our attention to the immediate surroundings and to suggest that a small gesture can have tremendous weight. In a time of water scarcity this work asks the viewer to slow down and consider this basic yet crucial element.
